Yosemite Valley is truly a special and unique part of our country. I visited and captured this image in 2020 just months after the COVID pandemic ground the world to a halt. This view of the half dome and the Sierra Nevada Mountains under the glorious firmament of our galaxy is a reminder of why people like John Muir fought so hard to have Yosemite protected as a national park. Even during a time of general societal turmoil the mountains offer a temple of natural worship for all to enjoy.
